Privacy & analytics

Short version: your game is local. The public website counts a few anonymous gameplay milestones so its creator can understand whether people genuinely play—not just visit.

Your saves

Saved games are stored in your browser. They are not uploaded to an AI Lab Tycoon server. Exported saves go only where you choose to save or share them.

Gameplay analytics

On aitycoon.org, privacy-focused PostHog analytics record only:

• new games and resumed games;
• the first model deployment and first application launch;
• reaching the end of year one and the decade review; and
• coarse error categories needed to measure crash-free play.

PostHog is configured in cookieless mode with memory-only identity, no person profiles, no autocapture, no heatmaps, and no session replay.

What is not collected

Analytics do not include your company name, typed text, financial state, save contents, model names, exact decisions, or advertising identifiers. Query strings and page fragments are removed from any diagnostic URLs.

Hosting data

Netlify hosts the site and may process standard web-request information and Core Web Vitals needed to deliver and operate it. This is separate from the gameplay milestone counts above.
